  11. Sometimes my intel 14.4 internal modem makes a strange sound then proceeds
  12. to lock up the comm port (3 in this case.  My mouse is on 2 and 1 is free).
  13. Only a shutdown or the reset button will hangup the connection.  I've
  14. been told this is somewhat common but I'm not so sure.  So is it??  Many
